DEVOPS ENGINEER
As a DevOps Engineer at Local, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, managing our continuous integration and deployment pipeline, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to ensure that our software solutions are deployed quickly and reliably.

What You’ll Do

Infrastructure management: You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure on AWS. This includes managing servers, databases, and other cloud-based infrastructure and ensuring our system is reliable, scalable, and secure.

Automation: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our continuous integration and deployment pipeline using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Docker. You will work with our engineering teams to ensure that code changes are tested and deployed quickly and reliably.

Monitoring and troubleshooting: You will monitor our systems for performance, reliability, and security issues and proactively address them as needed. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues in production environments and working with our engineering teams to resolve problems quickly.

Security: You will be responsible for ensuring that our systems are secure and that we are compliant with relevant security standards such as SOC 2 and PCI DSS.

Collaboration: You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to ensure our software solutions are deployed quickly and reliably. You will collaborate with our teams to identify areas for improvement in our infrastructure and deployment processes.

Continuous Improvement: You will be responsible for continuously improving our infrastructure and deployment processes. You will stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and development practices, evaluate new technologies and tools, and make recommendations for improvement.
Who You are

Experience: You should have at least 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps role, preferably in a fast-paced, Agile development environment. Experience with AWS, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.

Technical Skills: You should be proficient in AWS, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes and have experience with other cloud-based infrastructure tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation. You should have experience with Linux administration and scripting languages such as Bash and Python.

Collaboration: You should have excellent communication skills, work collaboratively with others, and be comfortable presenting your findings and ideas to senior leadership. You should be able to work effectively in a team environment, provide constructive feedback and be open to receiving feedback.

Problem-solving: You should be able to identify and solve complex infrastructure and deployment problems, including troubleshooting issues in production environments. You should be able to work well under pressure and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
