SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

We are looking for a creative and motivated social media manager to help us build a strong online presence and engage with our community in meaningful ways.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategy: You will develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives and creates a cohesive brand message across all platforms. This includes defining target audiences, creating content calendars, and setting KPIs to measure success.

  • Content Creation: You will create and curate high-quality content for all social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and potentially other platforms like TikTok. This includes writing captions, taking and editing photos and videos, and working with our graphic designer to create eye-catching visuals.

  • Engagement: You will engage with our audience and community through social media, including responding to comments, messages, and mentions. You will also be responsible for building relationships with influencers and other brands to collaborate on social media campaigns and initiatives.

  • Analytics: You will analyze and report on social media metrics to measure the success of our social media campaigns and initiatives. This includes using tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social to track engagement, traffic, and conversions.

  • Advertising: You will manage social media advertising campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive user acquisition. This includes creating and optimizing ads on platforms like Facebook Ads and Instagram Ads and monitoring performance to ensure we're getting the best ROI possible.

  • Trends: You will stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices to continuously improve our social media presence. This includes attending industry events, networking with other social media professionals, and experimenting with new tools and tactics to keep our brand fresh and relevant.

Who You are

  • Experience: You should have at least 2-3 years of experience managing social media accounts and campaigns for a brand or company. Experience in the travel industry or with a similar product is a plus.

  • Communication: You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for different social media platforms and audiences. You should also be able to collaborate effectively with other members of the Local team.

  • Passion: You should be passionate about travel and exploring new cultures, with a deep understanding and appreciation of the value of connecting with locals. You should be excited about the opportunity to help travelers have authentic and meaningful experiences through our app, and be committed to making a positive impact on the world of travel.

  • Analytics: You should have knowledge of social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret and report on social media metrics. You should be able to use data to make informed decisions about our social media strategy and campaigns.

  • Organization: You should have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You should also be able to work independently and take ownership of your work.

  • Creativity: You should have a creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and come up with new and engaging social media ideas. You should also have a strong visual sense and be able to work with our graphic designer to create visually appealing content.
